Footsie “Prangboy (Chemist Remix)”

Coyote Records are clearly allergic to mediocrity. The South London imprint – started by music journalist and grime disciple, Tomas Fraser – has endorsed and released a string of irrefutably good instrumentals from the likes of OH91 and Walter Ego since 2k12.

The trend continues with Chemist‘s second outing for Coyote, following his August Defiance EP homage to robotic Eski sounds (also including notable rejgs from both Rabit and Last Japan). His refix of “Prangboy” takes a stern look at Footsie’s original and supplements it with an admirable smattering of scabrous hits, rudebwoy low-end and well-timed percussion. All perfect for a clique of Nike hoody-donning grime heads to nod vehemently to.

Only 100 copies of the white label release will see the light of day and are available from the Coyote Records Big Cartel page from December 15th. A second batch hits stores on January 5th.
