Receiving promos from the mighty Omega Supreme Records is always a cause of great excitement at Boiler Room HQ. So naturally, we stuck the Debut – offered up by Germany’s mysterious modern-funk musketeers, First Touch – on the office stereo as soon as it landed in our inbox.

The EP’s opener, “Beweg Dein Körper“, is a masterclass in the science of concocting a silky smooth dancefloor burner. The five tracks that follow manage to tread the fine line between looking back on boogie’s golden age and gazing forward to whatever the future may have in store for funk and its bastard children.
