Saturday Six: Week 004

This week, two of our favourite festivals in the world – Dekmantel and Dimensions – let loose their initial 2015 line-ups; the former can be found here, and the latter over this way. Both boast an embarrassment of riches, more than enough to make the average music jock salivate.

Our initial thought for this week’s archival Saturday Six feature would be to spotlight some of the artists who have laid down Boiler Room sets over the years at Dekmantel and Dimensions; some of which count amongst the highest of highlights in BR’s history. Caribou, XosarMove D, Laurent Garnier, Nils Frahm, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Traxx, the Mood Hut guys – we could honestly go on.

Instead though, we reckoned it might be worthwhile to trawl through and dredge up some festival broadcasts you might have missed from the past couple of years, taken from further afield. There’s 200mph footworking, projection-mapped visuals, a minimal doyenne, sultry afternoon vibes, EQ’d mastery and a giant orange smoking bear.

The kind of delights that only festivals can provide, really.
